Welcome to my sixth post on the 7 Skills Needed To Lead Today’s Workforce.  Effective communication in leadership is critical. Leaders need the ability to communicate effectively in new and innovative ways to address today’s complex challenges. In a fast paced work environment where attention spans are short and people are overloaded with multi-tasking, communication must be crafted to be concise and clear to ensure that key points and direction are not lost in a sea of information.


Leaders must continue to find new ways to make their communications more effective, purposeful, and trustworthy. To build trust and foster productivity, leaders must focus on developing their own skills in reading emotions, understanding context, and fostering genuine connections with those they lead.

  • Adds value and vision to achieve organizational goals
